Martijn Kusters is a Master in Physical Education with a specific interest in training and coaching of cyclists. As a coach A in cycling, he guides promising riders and proposes training programs for recreational athletes with their specific purpose. He also has particular expertise in optimizing performance in heat and altitude.
Peter Hespel is a professor in exercise physiology at KU Leuven. His primary research interests are regulation of muscle energy metabolism by exercise training and nutrition, exercise performance in extreme environments such as altitude and heat, and performance testing in elite athletes. He has extensive experience as a physiological and nutritional coach in athletes and is involved in training of elite cyclists and triathletes.
